Jb's First Family Holiday , Part Three

Nannie Karen was our hero on this holiday as after our time in Tannum Sands she drove us to Noosa to show Jb and I where Shaun grew up

We stayed at some self contained apartments right in front of the Noosa River and where Dan is the head chef at , the Noosa Yacht Club. The location was ideal and very pretty. I took a prize winning photo of Nannie Karen and Jb at Sunset in front of the river (see below photo).

Shaun, Jb, Karen and I went to visit dear family friend Emmy at her nursing home, I'm glad we did it , what a lovely lady and she and Joanie got on very well.

Karen also took us for a Noosa city tour and  pointed out where Shaun, Karen, Chris, Dallas and Dan all worked , the Noosa Sheraton. Karen also took us to look at the lovely Noosa Main Beach, but I prefer the quieter Cable Beach. I do , however, love Noosa and could see myself living there.

Karen, Shaun, Jb, Dan, Jade , Chris , Lisa and I had a bench mark dinner at the Yacht Club, Dan pulled out all stops with a gastronomic feast, including succulent Barramundi Wings and Joanie had a very special kids meal prepared for her too.

Shaun was feeling a little run down but I'm glad that he put that behind him to go out with his mates, Dan, Jade and some interesting fella called Snapper who Shaun has told me many interesting stories about. He came back tired but happy after a fun night out.

The next morning we all had a morning coffee with Dan, Dallas , Tilly, Jake and Billy  which was a lovely end to my time in Beautiful Noosa. Karen then took us to Brisbane where we stayed our last night of our holidays with dear friend Mel, Michael and Stella the pooch.

Mel is still "hostess with the mostest" and looked after us like we were in a first class resort and Michael set up their awesome theatre room for us where Shaun and Joanie watched Ice Age .

Mel was such a great help with Joanie and cooked her food around the clock and even got her up in the morning so Shaun and I could continue sleeping!

All in All Joanie's first interstate trip was a HUGE success and I'm so proud of how she's soldered on after the medical set backs she had in her first year.

Jb's First Family Holiday Part Two

After our week with  the extended family in Gold Coast Jb, Shaun and I hopped in the car with Nanny Karen and Craig and headed to their magnificent house in Tannum Sands.
Karen and Craig have built this beautiful mansion with their own hands and help of their lovely friends in the community, the basement is yet to be completed, but not far away. They've done such an awesome job and its definitely a dream house that anyone would be proud to own.

Jb also loved Nanny Karen and Craig's house, all the furniture was perfect height for her to practice her standing and shuffling plus there was plenty of new rooms to explore not to mention a beautiful infinity pool over looking leafy green Tannum Sands.

The house is on the top of a hill over looking Tannum Beach and the creek and only a short walk from the supermarkets and accommodation.  Over the road is also a lovely park where we often took Jack the dog for a stretch of the legs.

I made the most out of everything being so close and went for many walks. Jb and I also had a lot of lovely swims at the toddler friendly beach which had little streams and puddles for her to play in happily.

During our stay at Tannum Sands we had some lovely people join us including Awesome Aunty and wonderful Ava and  Jake,  Incredible parents Dallas and Dan and amazing friends Matilda, Billy and Jake and the very generous Simon, Clare and  beautiful Amelia. We also had some lovely drinkies with good friend Wendy and met many of Karen and Craig lovely neighbours and work colleagues , they are very popular in the area and it appears to be the party house!

Miss Red had many firsts on her holiday and it was with her Aunty Amy in Tannum Sands where she had her first ever  Mr Whippy ice cream!

Miss Belle loved getting to know her cousins, Ava and Jake. She had many swims with them and loved playing with them! One of Miss Red's highlights was sharing a VERY bubbly spa with cousin Ava.

Joanie Pony ( as Matilda and Jake loved to call her)  also very much enjoyed the company of Matilda, Jake and Billy and Tilly inparticular was very caring of her and took her under her wing.
There were even a few days when the house had a full house of kiddies all having a ball in the pool , Jb was in play gym heaven !

Jb's First Family Holiday Part One

Got to love technology , been working on this post since May and some how I managed to delete it yesterday 😒 Oh well I will resort to using my memory. It's taken me so long to finish this post as soon as We returned from our trip over East  I was off securing work , setting up the vege garden and then sadly saying good bye to a dear friend taken way too soon .

Casting my mind back...We were met by Nanny Karen and Uncle Lee at the Gold Coast Airport and headed off to our family style accommodation , Turtle Beach Resort. Bev and Graham picked the best place for our extended family -the kids were in heaven with the Splash down water park numerous pools , mini golf and yummy cafes , it was Ideal accommodation for families travelling with kids. Jb instantly felt at home with her cousins and she loved spending time with Bianca, Liam, Ava, Jake,Anika, Vincent, Nicolai, Courtney and Charlie.

Turtle Beach was also walking distance from cafes , pubs and the beautiful Mermaid Beach .
Jb taste buds came alive  in the Gold Coast she enjoyed Bbqs cooked by numerous family members around the resort pool,  pizzas at the hotel pizza bar and pancakes at the pancake shop down the road. Spaghetti  at Sizzler cafe was momentarily the highlight until she spotted Courtney's bowl of ice cream and then that continued to be her favorite treat for the remains of the holiday !

Gold Coast was greener than I imagined the Cbd itself had pretty and seedy parts . The braver ones of the group took to the slingshot ride in the city centre , this was also where Jb made her RED nose
(she acquired from kissing the carpet in hotel room) even redder when she broke the blister open and made her parents almost faint from all the gushing blood .needless to say all the Gold Coast
photos were starring her and her Rudolph red nose !!

Jb and I also went up the Q1 tower with a few of the family , despite being  a bit pricey it was well worth the spectacular view and four xxxx has never tasted so sweet as it did at that altitude !!!

Miss Red locks was very lucky to have her first hair cut with Aunty Nat who had her own very successful salon in New Zealand . It was very special that we could share this moment with our extended family even if it was only a little trim . We kept the curls of course!!

Did anyone get a full family photo? I can't remember, if not we will have to make sure we do on our next family holiday , maybe next time in New Zealand! Thanks so much to everyone who made this holiday so great! Bev, Graham, Karen, Craig,Amy, Lee, Nat, Taua, Wendy, Paul, Darryn, Tracey
Michelle and all the kids xxx
